JennTara Ward, has been a dedicated and curious yoga teacher for 21 years and practicing for 26 years, culminating in over 750 hours of formal yoga training. JennTara graduated from her first yoga teacher training in 2003, received her certification as an Anusara-Inspired yoga teacher in 2010 and is recognized as an E-YRT, YACEP by Yoga Alliance. Her classes are inspired by her background in bodywork as well as the precision and therapeutics of Iyengar and Anusara yoga to keep people safe and strong in their practice after 50.
She is also a licensed massage therapist since 1998 and recently became certified as a holistic family health coach. Her warm, compassionate and healing presence combined with her knowledge has helped hundreds of clients to reduce pain, stress and manage chronic conditions.
JennTara teaches mindful alignment-based yoga classes that are both physically challenging and deeply calming with an emphasis on women’s health in midlife and beyond. Her aim is to help women remember their bodies' wisdom, uncover their essence and to craft a more authentic world.
What styles of yoga do you specialize in?
I teach alignment-based yoga classes for strength and flexibility. I also teach restorative yoga classes. I am trained in the tradition of Anusara Yoga and inspired by Iyengar Yoga.

How do online private yoga sessions work?
You will need a computer that you can aim at your mat so I can see your postures. On my end, I have a giant screen so I can easily see your postures and give you feedback. You will also need yoga props including a yoga mat, two firm blankets, a strap and two blocks for best results. You or I can record your private yoga sessions for you to use for your practice.

Yes, there is a recorded library you can have access to if you join the monthly membership which also includes the live classes.
What equipment do I need for online yoga classes?
You will need a screen (laptop or tablet best). Ideally you want to set your mat up near a wall or door. For the Form and Flow class you will need a yoga mat, two yoga blocks, a yoga strap and a firm blanket. For the restorative class, you will need a chair, yoga mat, 2 blocks, a yoga strap, 2 firm blankets and a yoga bolster or firm couch pillow.

In my bodywork sessions, I use techniques such as applying hand pressure along meridians, precise pressure on areas of muscle tension, stretching, long fluid strokes, gentle kneading, and rhythmic motions to relax muscles and encourage relaxation.

What should I expect during a bodywork session?
When you come to me, you can expect a serene space to relax in my home studio. I will send you an intake & consent form and we will discuss it before we begin the bodywork. You can tell me what kind of pressure you enjoy and anything you would like me to focus on. From there, I will tailor a session to meet your specific needs that day. I also play relaxing music during the massage.
If I come to you on a regular basis, I prefer that you own a massage table. I will bring the sheets, massage table pad, blankets, oil and music. It's best if you have a quiet space in your house for ultimate relaxation.
